Installing new gypsum

We use standard 1/2" gypsum for walls, 5/8" for ceilings or areas requiring more strength, and moisture-resistant gypsum (green or purple) in bathrooms and basements.

Everything is screwed every 12" to the uprights, squarely, with the right spacing between sheets to prevent future cracking.

Taping and mudding

This is where quality shows. Three coats of joint compound (mud) are applied with paper or fiberglass tape, depending on the type of joint.

First coat: cover the tape and fill the screws. Second coat: widen to blend joints. Third coat: apply a broad topcoat and smooth out perfectly.

Between each coat, sand with fine paper to remove imperfections. The result: walls as smooth as glass, without lines or bumps.

Drywall repair

Got nail holes, cracks, chipped corners, water damage or moving damage? We'll fix it.

Small holes: fill with compound, sand and you're done. Large holes: cut out the damaged section, install a new piece of gypsum, pull the joints, sand. Recurring cracks: reinforce with fibreglass tape and apply a flexible compound to prevent recurrence.

Residential interior painting

Once the walls are perfect, paint is applied. We use quality paints (Benjamin Moore, Sico, Dulux) with the right primers to suit the surface.

New walls: primer, two coats of paint. Repaint over: one or two coats, depending on current color. Ceilings: matte paint to hide light imperfections. Woodwork: semi-gloss or gloss paint for a durable, washable finish.

Protect everything before you start: floors, furniture, windows. Paint is applied with a roller, using finishing brushes for corners and frames. And we collect all our belongings before leaving.

Ceiling finishing

Smooth ceilings, textured ceilings (popcorn), or a complete redo - we do it all. If you've got an old popcorn ceiling and want to modernize it, we can remove it, pull the joints and repaint it smooth.

How long does the paint smell last?

With modern low-VOC paints, the odor goes away in 24-48 hours if you ventilate well. We use quality paints that smell less.

Do I need to empty the rooms before painting?

Ideally, yes. If that's not possible, you can move the furniture to the center and protect it with canvas. But it's easier and quicker if the room is empty.

Can you repair cracks without redoing everything?

Yes, in most cases. V-cut the crack, apply fiberglass tape, fill with flexible compound, sand and repaint. It lasts for years.

What's better: paint or wallpaper?
